Thanks for stopping by to read about us. Kristina set up Penn Wedding Cakes  over  11 years ago, and never thought  I  would be running my our own successful  business for this long. Now I  have to pinch myself  to see how my dream has come true, delivering cakes to the finest venues!

A love of food and baking first taught by my father, led me to start making cakes after  my second  son was 3.  I used all my savings to study for 2 years and set up Penn Wedding Cakes. The orders came in thick and fast, so I decided to leave my old  corporate world life.

I  love the job, because  it’s such a happy and positive environment to be in, and a real joy to be involved in my clients’ weddings.  Penn Wedding Cakes has the best clients, and sincerely love the relationships I have with them. It’s so exciting to be given such creative designs to bring to life!

I really want your guests to be wowed when they see my creations, and  I put my heart and soul into your cake, spending hours on the details.  Above all, I’m  genuinely passionate about cakes, and feel very lucky to be doing a job I love.

Kristina x

The Order Process.

  1. Get in touch with me using the email. Let me know when and where you are getting married. I can then confirm that I have availability.

2. Have a look through my gallery at either semi naked cakes or iced tiered cakes. I can give a rough price to you depending on whether it is a semi naked cake, Pure Collection cake or Couture Collection Cake.

3. I will arrange a mutually convenient time to try lots of delicious cake and I can talk through your wedding style so I understand how the cake fits in. I will put together a design, sometimes a few different versions. I can finalise all the details, such as guest numbers and price over email.

4. In order to book a wedding cake we need a £60 deposit. This will be confirmed that your cake has been booked. This deposit is non refundable should you cancel. You can sit back and relax and one month prior to your wedding I will email you requesting the final balance.

Food Hygiene Rating

Penn Wedding Cakes have a food hygiene rating of 5. We are fully insured and due to our skill and expertise we are happy to dress your cake with fresh flowers provided by your wedding florist.

Terms and Conditions and other FAQ’s.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation, postponement and alterations

In the event of a cancellation due to Covid 19 by yourselves and our selves, charges are as follows;

The deposit is non refundable if the wedding booking has been compromised by Covid 19. The deposit is transferable to a postponed wedding date.

Any payments including deposits previously made are not refundable.

In the event of a postponement, the payment due remains the same as a cancellation. Subject to availability we will carry the monies paid forward to the new wedding date, providing it is amicable. Please be aware that we will only do this on one occasion.

You may, prior to 90 days before the wedding day, or 7 days for celebration cakes, amend or cancel your order by providing us with written notice. In the case of alterations a new order confirmation will be issued detailing the changes and the new cost. Alterations are not confirmed until a new order confirmation has been issued. Should you make any changes after that time there will not be a reduction in the price you pay, even if your new design is cheaper than the original booking.

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your order any monies paid will be refunded. Penn Wedding Cakes reserves the right to cancel, vary or suspend the operation of this contract if events occur which are in the nature of force majeure including (without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing): fire, floods, storm, plant breakdown, strike, lock outs, riot, hostilities, non-availability of materials or supplies or any other event outside the control of Penn Wedding Cakes, and Penn Wedding Cakes shall not be liable for any breach of contract resulting from such an event.

Cake cancellations must be made in writing. As your cake booking is reserved solely for you and certain components for your cake(s) may be ordered and/or made months in advance the following conditions are implemented when an order is cancelled:

Costs that have been made by us have to be deducted.

Making Changes to your cake order

I advise that you check your order carefully and let me know within 7 days whether changes are needed. Your cake is very important to me and should you require any alterations after that period I will endeavour to do my best to accommodate them. If the alteration affects the cost, or if the preparatory work on your cake has already commenced, Penn Wedding Cakes, reserves the right to increase the quoted fee accordingly.
